Annual Assembly of Delegates

The Queensland Division holds an Annual Assembly of Delegates (AAD) in May of each year. This Assembly includes discussion forums as required and the Annual General Meeting.

Branches are represented by Branch Delegates, the number of which is proportional to the branch membership.

Note: The 2026 Annual Assembly of Delegates and Annual General Meeting will be hosted by the Townsville Branch on 15 – 17 May 2026.  The Assembly will be held at Rockhampton, QLD.

The business of the AGM is to:

  • receive and consider the Auditor’s Report and the audited Statements of Account for the preceding year
  • receive the report of the Division officers on the past year’s transactions
  • to appoint the Auditor
  • to elect the State Executive
  • to consider any such other business as the State Council or any member, upon due notice of motion, brings before it, and
  • consider any general business that may be brought forward at the discretion of the Chairman.

The following year’s AAD is held at a location decided by the members at the current AAD.

The event commences with a meet and greet on the Friday evening.  The AGM and forums are held on Saturday during the day with an official dinner held on the Saturday night of the AAD.  Any National Awards and/or State Awards are usually presented to the recipients during the dinner.  A memorial service is held on the Sunday to commemorate Service and to remember those who have passed.
